As a Truck Sales Representative you will be responsible for selling new and used medium- and heavy-duty trucks meeting dealership sales objectives and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales process. The ideal candidate is self-driven knowledgeable about truck specs and applications and skilled in building lasting customer relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or related training a plus.
  • 13 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to calculate figures such as discounts commissions and percentages.
  • Proficient in solving practical problems and interpreting a variety of instructions (written oral diagrams schedules).
  • Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
  • Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Essential Functions:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets for new and used truck units.
  • Proactively prospect for new customers via phone email in-person visits and networking.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular follow-up and service support.
  • Conduct effective truck demonstrations including test drives when needed.
  • Close truck sales secure deposits and process all paperwork accurately and in line with company policies.
  • Prepare and submit detailed sales reports to the Truck Sales Manager.
  • Assist walk-in and call-in customers with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Delivery of sold trucks and explain warranties service policies and vehicle features.
  • Evaluate and appraise used trucks as needed.
  • Attend required sales and training meetings to stay current on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Continuously study and stay informed on truck specifications performance and applications.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal state and local vehicle sale regulations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company with integrity at all times.
