Truck Driver 1st Shift

The Royal Group (TRG)currently has a position open for a Truck Driver in Marion Ohio. The associate drives company trucks to make timely safe deliveries to our customers. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability requiredThe Royal Groupsmission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:Inspect load in trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and it is the correct load before count while truck is being unloaded as allowed by load by required route to proper destination while observing all federal state and local laws and regulations pertaining to operation of heavy motor vehicles on public roads and highways. Obtain shipping bill of lading and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to shipping necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner including but not limited to: Production Data Truck Service Data Safety Data Quality daily timecard driver logs and all other work reports accurately and in a timely interact with customers and others at points of delivery and/or daily services such as - checking the oil level water level fuel air in tires and clean vehicle as any maintenance items to supervision immediately. Be proactive in the maintenance of the truck and with all company policies and procedures including safety and maintaining good to work overtime as the job and predictable attendancePerform other duties as assignedREQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GEDPreferred that employees have prior work experience in corrugated industry or other 2-4 years work and maintain Class A Commercial Drivers LicenseMaintain compliance with DOT driver qualificationsHigh degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of a tractor-trailer and in the prevention of damage to materials and of regional roadwaysWORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
