Location: Branford Connecticut. We value in-person collaboration and prefer our attorneys to work with us on-site while remaining open to a hybrid arrangement for the right candidate.

Note: A J.D. from an accredited law school is required. Connecticut Bar admission is strongly preferred. We are flexible on experience level and are especially interested in attorneys with civil litigation courtroom deposition motions practice or trial experience.

Job Description

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution.
• Develop case strategy conduct legal research and provide practical advice to clients.
• Draft pleadings motions briefs discovery requests and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Appear in court for hearings conferences motions and trials.
• Participate in settlement negotiations mediations and case resolution strategy.
• Prepare cases for trial including exhibits witnesses legal arguments and overall trial strategy.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments risks and recommended next steps.
• Collaborate with partners associates and support professionals on complex litigation matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Connecticut Bar admission required.
• Civil litigation or trial experience preferred although we are flexible on seniority.
• Strong legal research writing analytical and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
• Experience with motions discovery depositions hearings or trials is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative professional approach.
