Transportation Supervisor
Job Summary
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee logistics workforce including drivers clerks specialists and support staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Enforce DOT regulations OSHA C-TPAT company policies and safety protocols.
- Talent Development: Train and develop team members to maintain operational proficiency.
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with operational requirements equipment usage uniform policies and productivity goals.
- Technology Utilization: Optimize efficiency through transportation software and reporting tools.
- Safety Leadership: Oversee compliance with DOT Hours of Service Pre/Post-Trip inspections and coordinate with the Safety department.
- Team Leadership: Foster a culture of professionalism quality service and ethical conduct.
- Bachelors degree in management transportation or related field (or Associates degree with 4 years experience in logistics/operations).
- Proven leadership experience in operations logistics or terminal management.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 transportation software (TMW Peoplenet etc.) and reporting tools.
- Strong knowledge of transportation fleet modeling DOT regulations and C-TPAT compliance.
- Excellent multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
