Transportation Planning Intern Summer 2027

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern Summer 2027 to join our Henderson NV office.

• Work onreal client projects gaining exposure to multiple stages of the project lifecycle and a variety of transportation planning assignments.
• Support transportation planning tasks that could include traffic modeling data collection safety analysis public engagement and multi-modal planning and design.
• Assist with the preparation of technical documentation presentations and project reports.
• Analyze and interpret transportation data to support project recommendations planning discussions and decision-making.
• Participate in project team meetings brainstorming sessions client meetings and workshops.
• Support mapping data visualization and planning analyses used to communicate project findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to develop innovative transportation solutions.
• Participate in training mentorship and professional development opportunities to build technical analytical communication and teamwork skills.

• EXPERIENCE:
  • Familiarity with mapping and transportation modeling tools or data visualization software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in transportation systems mobility roadway safety public engagement and community planning.
• EDUCATION:
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Transportation Planning Urban Planning Civil Engineering or a related field.
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks.

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills experience and geographical location.
