Transportation Dispatch

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for scheduling drivers and routes to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Documenting all calls deliveries routes and times for pickup and deliveries.
• Monitor daily/weekly deliveries for effectiveness.
• Completion of all paperwork related to deliveries including special billing documents.
• Assist with truck inspections and ensuring all company equipment including motive is working accurately.
• Assist with inside sales as needed.
• Work with Logistics Coordinator on drivers logs motive and DOT regulations.
• Assist/Coordinate with truck rotations maintenance inspections registrations etc.
• Administer and train users on proof of delivery software and utilize software to assign deliveries and ensure all proof of delivery information is being properly obtained.
• Work will all related departments to see through resolutions on discrepancies related to billings and deliveries.
• Responsible for communicating participating and reviewing intercompany communications using Microsoft Teams via company computer Honeywell and/or app.
• Maintain neat and organized files.
• Maintain procedures and process for duties as assigned.
• Willingness to be flexible including working overtime and performing responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities as the departments needs change.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High School diploma with 2 years dispatcher experience
• Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
• Strong verbal written mathematical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to use discretion and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers supervisors management and various personnel
