Job Summary
TheTransportationandProgramAssistantsupportsthe daily operations of the program byproviding administrativeassistanceto the Program Director and staff. This role also serves as a key resource for clients and their familiesfacilitatingsafetimely and efficient transportation to appointments employment and community-based activities while promoting a positive and supportive experience.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transport clients and their familiesto and from theirappointmentsinterviewsand other local locations safely ensuring a supportive and respectful environment.
Provide local transportation as assigned byprogram leadership.
Work irregular shifts irregular days and be available whenrequiredto transportclientsto assigned destinations.
Maintain a calendar that tracks and coordinatesclientstravel needs to ensure they get totheirassigned destination on schedule.
Maintainaccurateand up to date travel logs.
Assistclients withgetting in and out of the vehicle as well as withloading andunloadingasnecessary.
Performclerical andadministrative dutiesfor program leadership and staffincluding filing typingdrafting andpreparing correspondence/memorandums andcompiling reports.
Assistinschedulingmeetings programs and events related to clients andtheprogram.
Manage track and completevarious formsspreadsheetsand other programdocumentsas necessary.
Maintains clientand programconfidentiality and ensures that all office and record security procedures are followed.
Maintains a positive respectful demeanor in all contacts with staff clientsand the public.
Works to build positive productive relationships with other staff.
Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner
ProficiencyinallMicrosoft Officeapplications andGoogle tools.
Proficiencyin a second language spoken by the local refugee population is strongly preferred.
EDUCATION:Associate degree preferredorequivalentcombination of education training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
EXPERIENCE:Minimum of2yearsof experience relevant to the position and working with vulnerable populations.
ATTENDANCE:Mustmaintainregular and acceptable attendance at such level as isdeterminedin the employers sole discretion. Ability to work outside of the 9-5 schedule as needed.
LICENSES:ValidDrivers License with clear record.
OTHER:Must be available and willing to travel to variouslocations withsuch frequency as the businessneeddictates.
EXCEPTIONS TO THESE CRITERIA MUST BE APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT HEAD.
