ThisSpringInternship is fromJanuary 4 2027throughApril 16th 2027(start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours/week in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in continuing their education through professional experience.
Department Description:
Sony Pictures Content Strategy Digital Programming and Acquisitions team provides the strategy for SPT Networks in LATAM & Brazil and the Latin American & US Hispanic Digital Portfolio including Streaming platforms and FAST Channels. This position is responsible for supporting the Digital/FAST Content/Planning Supervisor & reports to the Content Strategy & Acquisitions Director. It provides learning opportunities across various areas of the Latin American Content Strategy business.
Responsibilities:
1. Content Acquisitions Evaluation: Review films series and formats being considered for acquisition or co-production. Participate in creative discussions evaluate audience appeal identify content opportunities and help prepare recommendations and feedback for the team.
2. Content Materials: Create presentations content summaries and screening evaluations. Support the preparation organization translation and distribution of creative materials media assets and business documents for internal colleagues across different departments
3. Acquisition & payments Administration: Assist with acquisition related processes including purchase orders payment tracking deal documentation delivery trackers deadline management and internal approval processes. Monitor key deadlines and ensure accurate records are kept across internal content onboarding workflows.
4. Digital Content Programming: Support the planning and scheduling of content across Streaming platforms & FAST Channels. Create and maintain programming calendars schedules content inventories rights trackers and programming presentations while helping ensure accurate content availability and publishing.
Management & Metadata: Manage content information within programming systems including episode details synopses artwork translations promotional assets and metadata. Help ensure content libraries are organized accurate and launch-ready.
Qualifications:
1. Fluent in English and Spanish Proficiency is a must (written and spoken).
2. Strong proficiency in PC applications Microsoft Office (Exel PPT word Outlook) and ability to learn quickly new systemtools and digital platforms.
3. Minimum 1 year of internship or work experience demonstrating organization accountability project coordination administrative support or operational responsibilities - preferred experience in data entry and or administrative experience and entertainment industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Team-player with demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and follow tasks through to completion with the ability to prioritize.
2. Passion for film television streaming and the entertainment industry particularly Latin American content.
3. Interest in content acquisitions content strategy programming or entertainment rights with familiarity with the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American media landscape including broadcast cable FAST AVOD and SVOD platforms.
4. Detail-oriented with strong organization time management & communication skills.
5. Experience in either content management systems data entry invoice accounting and/or payment processing metadata management scheduling platforms or digital asset management tools.
