Trade Compliance Specialist

Are you passionate about international trade and compliance We are seeking a dedicated professional to support our trade compliance teams in executing international trade operations. This role is crucial in maintaining export/import shipment documentation assisting in product classification and ensuring compliance with U.S. Government laws and regulations. Youll work closely with customs brokers freight forwarders and cross-functional teams to optimize trade compliance processes.

• Maintain accurate HTS code classification and determine the country of origin for all imported/exported products.
• Assist in applying proper U.S. Customs Valuation methods.
• Review and maintain import/export documentation including commercial invoices and packing lists.
• Track international shipments for customs delays and regulatory holds.
• Support the implementation of Customs programs like Duty Drawback and Temporary Import Bonds.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders for pre-clearance and shipping instructions.
• Support ERP integration of trade compliance data such as SAP material master.
• Assist with internal audits and documentation including pre and post CBP entry reviews.
• Provide reporting on trade compliance metrics and duty exposure.

• Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain International Business or a related field or equivalent experience (5 years).
• 3 years of experience in trade compliance customs or international logistics.
• Basic knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and Foreign Trade Regulations.
• Experience using ERP systems like SAP.
• Strong analytical documentation and communication skills.

• Experience with duty drawbacks FTZs or CTPAT.
• Ability to motivate and initiate change.
