Trade Compliance Specialist

If you are a Trade Compliance professional looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Houston location you will serve as the primary resource for day-to-day activities associated with import/export compliance for US locations of Actuation Technologies.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

You step up to handle tough issues and you quickly and decisively take actions in fast-changing unpredictable situations.

For This Role You Will Need:

• B.S. degree in Business technical field law or equivalent work experience
• 5 years related experience including minimum of 3 years of import/export compliance accountability in industry or government position
• Import: CFR 15 knowledge understanding of USHTS classification Customs and Border Protection forms and responses Transportation In Bond import entry packets Importer Self Filing PSAs ADD/CVD Broker communication valuation country of origin and marking record keeping
• Export: CFR 19 knowledge understanding of ECCN classification Shippers Letter of Instruction Electronic Export Information Embargos Sanctions Boycott Freight Forwarder / carrier communication transaction and restricted party screening record keeping
• Ability to coordinate the implementation and adoption of all import/export/supply chain security policies in all facilities within scope
• Ability to create review and adhere to internal Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

• Incoterms General knowledge
• Supply Chain Security General Knowledge

• Knowledge of Archer Tradesphere Exporter Oracle TRAX Global Trade Management
