Trade Compliance Manager Master Data & Controls
Our Trade Compliance Master Data & Controls Manager will own the operational framework required to ensure Philips Respironics import/export part-number data trade documentation and broker-facing compliance information are complete accurate current and actionable. You will create and maintain a controlled trade compliance data-management system that ensures every active/imported/exported part number has the required master data documentation regulatory flags and ownership needed to support compliant and efficient customs clearance.
Your role:
Will serve as the single point of accountability for trade master data readiness across SAP plant names Philips trade databases customs broker platforms and internal business workflows. The role will convert todays reactive RFI-driven process into a controlled visible governed system that enables proactive compliance execution faster customs clearance reduced broker escalations and stronger regulatory readiness.
- Own Trade Master Data Governance: Lead the accuracy completeness and visibility of import/export trade compliance data across SAP product master systems trade databases and broker platforms. Establish data standards governance processes and controls to ensure critical trade attributes such as classifications country of origin regulatory indicators and supporting documentation are maintained and audit-ready.
- Drive Broker and System Alignment: Ensure trade compliance data is synchronized across SAP invoices broker databases and other trade repositories to prevent shipment delays and clearance issues. Proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies while managing broker inquiries through root-cause correction rather than one-time transactional fixes.
- Manage Regulatory Compliance and Change Control: Partner with trade customs legal and compliance stakeholders to monitor evolving import/export regulations and assess their impact on affected products and parts. Build structured change-management processes to update systems validate data document compliance actions and confirm broker readiness for regulatory changes.
- Lead Cross-Functional Issue Resolution: Collaborate with engineering procurement planning logistics warehouse operations quality finance suppliers and trade teams to close data gaps and resolve compliance risks. Develop clear workflows accountability structures escalation paths and governance forums to ensure timely resolution of high-risk trade issues.
- Build Reporting Controls and Continuous Improvement: Create dashboards KPIs and management reporting to track trade data quality compliance risks broker holds documentation gaps and overall readiness. Develop SOPs playbooks and standardized processes while leveraging automation analytics workflow tools and AI to improve efficiency data validation and exception management.
Youre the right fit if:
- Youve acquired 5 years of experience in trade compliance customs operations import/export operations master data logistics regulatory operations or supply chain controls. Working knowledge of import/export compliance concepts including HTS/HS classification country of origin customs documentation IOR PGA/FDA requirements valuation and recordkeeping. Experience in medical device healthcare regulated manufacturing or complex global supply chains nice to have.
- Your skills include SAP ERP master data trade compliance systems broker platforms or structured operational databases as well as strong Excel reporting data-quality and analytical skills. Nice to have are a familiarity with SAP GTS SAP material master customs broker portals Power BI workflow tools or AI-enabled analytics. Knowledge of FDA import processes AD/CVD Section 232 ECCN/export controls and broker entry processes as well as Customs Broker License CCS CES or similar trade compliance certification preferred but not required.
- You have a Bachelors degree required in supply chain logistics business international trade engineering data management or related field.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- Youre an independent problem solver with strong attention to detail cross-functional influence process discipline and the ability to use data reporting workflow tools and AI-enabled analysis to identify gaps manage corrective actions and sustain compliance performance. Proven ability to manage cross-functional actions without direct authority.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities generally at the customers or suppliers locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Pennsylvania is $87000 to $139000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills experience business needs geographical location and internal equity.
In addition other compensation such as an annual incentive bonus sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
