The Total Rewards Administrator is responsible for supporting and administering the organizations payroll benefits and compensation programs. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing effective benefits administration and compensation support while maintaining compliance with federal state and local regulations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail analytical skills customer service orientation and the ability to manage confidential employee information. Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process multi-state payroll accurately and on time in accordance with company policies and payroll schedules. Review validate and audit payroll data including new hires terminations pay rate changes bonuses commissions and deductions. Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal state and local wage and hour regulations. Coordinate with Finance on payroll funding reporting and general ledger reconciliations. Support year-end processes including W-2 preparation and distribution. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay taxes deductions and payroll policies. Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit programs including medical dental vision life insurance disability retirement plans and wellness programs. Manage employee enrollments changes terminations and qualifying life events. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution. Coordinate open enrollment activities and employee communications. Maintain benefit eligibility records and ensure timely processing of benefit transactions. Partner with benefit vendors and brokers to resolve issues and support program administration. Audit benefit invoices and assist with monthly reconciliations. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including ACA COBRA HIPAA ERISA and other benefit-related requirements. Compensation Support Support compensation administration processes including salary reviews merit increases promotions and market adjustments. Maintain job descriptions salary structures pay grades and compensation data. Assist with compensation surveys market benchmarking and analysis. Prepare reports and analytics to support compensation planning and decision-making. Ensure compensation actions are aligned with company policies and pay practices. Support annual compensation cycles and special compensation projects. Reporting and Compliance Generate and analyze HR payroll benefits and compensation reports. Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS payroll and benefits systems. Support audits regulatory filings and compliance reporting requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency. Ensure confidentiality and security of employee data. Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Accounting Finance or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience 3-5 years of experience in payroll benefits administration total rewards or HR operations. Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred. Experience supporting compensation programs and salary administration. Experience with HRIS payroll and benefits platforms. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of payroll practices tax regulations and compliance requirements. Working knowledge of employee benefits administration and applicable laws. Understanding compensation principles salary structures and market pricing. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR systems. Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
