Job Summary

We are excited to be adding a Manufacturing Engineer (Tooling) to the MAC Trailer Team. Our Manufacturing Engineer (Tooling) designs and develop tools and machinery as well as supportive programs to optimize manufacturing process. Provides expert input to resolve design issues and innovate solutions.

Wage Range: $60000 - $105000

What you will do:

â Develop and implement tooling and fixtures.

â Develop sustain and streamline complete tooling process to support operations and product improvements.

â Oversee the design fabrication sourcing and procurement of and not limited to fixtures jigs gauges cutting tools forming tools carts racks to support Operations related to MAC processes.

â Performs feasibility studies on proposed tooling concepts to determine manufacturability cost and cycle time impact on production process.

â Work with shop floor personnel and manufacturing staff to develop new tooling concepts and improvements.

â Oversee selection of materials components and equipment related to tooling.

â Create and manage resource plans.

â Oversee and implement procedures specifications and applications for new and existing Tooling throughout MAC Trailer Enterprises Inc. and subsidiaries.

â Oversee and implement related budgets costs resource allocation and material required to tooling.

â Lead improvement activities within areas related to tooling and machinery including providing technical support to production personnel during the introduction of new or revised tooling into production operations.

Who you are:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

â 4 years of experience in related technical area is required

â 3 years of tool design experience required

â Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes required.

â Experience and knowledge of welding processes preferred.

â Experience with computer aided tool design and computer aided operation is preferred.

Physical Demands

â Office and Manufacturing Environment

â Stand and walk long periods of time -Frequent sitting work at a computer for extended periods of time.

â Ability to work in a manufacturing environment including being physically capable of maneuvering self throughout work area product equipment.

â Ability to work in a manufacturing environment including being physically capable of maneuvering and manipulating tooling and machinery during all aspects of tooling and machining life cycle.

â Ability to function and facilitate job duties at various subsidiary locations when need is required.
