ToolCrib Attendant

Responsibilities:

• Issues tools and equipment to all departments and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned in accordance with SOP #Tooling Set-up Process and #Tooling Return Process.
• Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
• Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
• Receives unpacks and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
• Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage to wear to supervisor.
• Updates job books by measuring and comparing job prints to running tools.
• Fills out ECR (Engineering Change Request) form when needed and returns to supervisor.
• Repairs services and lubricates tools and equipment.
• Marks and identifies tools and equipment.
• Keeps tool crib area clean floor swept cabinets free from oil and grease and tool carts clean.
• Systematize tooling and cabinets for faster set-up time.
• Working with other team members to help solve their tooling needs.

Skills:

• Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

• Reasoning: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Computer: Ability to input data into database programs and evaluate output.
• Ability to grind and sharpen tooling. Ability to read engineering prints. Ability to perform clerical functions related to in-process forms and data entry requirements.

Experience

• 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment

Education: High School or G.E.D.
