Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications geographic location and other job-related factors permitted by duties and responsibilitiesPrepare all tooling per machine/ setup schedule for release to the floor shop personnelGrind all tools for shop personnel as neededMaintain and correct inventory locations on perishable tooling and shop suppliesIssue tooling and other supplies from the crib to shop personnel in an accurate and timely mannerMaintain accurate inventories of supplies and tooling (i.e oil coolant cleaning supplies etc.)Focus is on accuracy and minimizing inventory levels to the lowest level while still meeting the needs of the production floorOrder tooling as required; establish acceptable Kanban quantitiesResponsible for MSC Vending Machine tooling Min/Max management levels and technical reports through MSC to manage tooling orders and inventory track of tooling orders- logistics and lead record of all invoices/packing slipsWorking with AP to resolve invoicing and payment issuesWorking with management to keep in line with budgetReceiving all inventory for perishable tooling and shop supplies EDM Wire coolant/ Oil barrels and storing all chemicals received and placing proper labels on themWorking with vendors and tool reps to secure best tooling possible for jobsQuoting for price and availability based on business -measuring and recording data from all special for carbide scrap and dull tooling and send out to be with machinist to resolve tooling issuesWorking between buildings to supply machinist with job folders fixturing and tool kitsWorking with other departments on special projects or lean work area cleanOther duties as necessaryEnvironmental working conditions Working with cutting & machining fluids solvents lubricants and other hazardous chemicals using appropriate safety controlsLifting up to 50 poundsModerate to significant amounts of bending lifting twisting and to significant periods of standing and be willing and able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to steel toed be 18 years of ageTrade school or 3 years shop experience preferredAble to use measuring equipment including micrometers comparator Smart Scope tooling presetter profilometer thread gages pins etalon and digital linear gageAble to use computer especially inventory control system and shop ERP systemAble to use basic shop mathAble to read and understand blueprintsAble to follow instructions both written and verbalAble to communicate effectively especially verballyComply with all safety regulations wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility
