Thermoplastics Molding Setup & Optimization Technician

- Bridge Operations and Engineering by executing trials for new molds and alternative materials.
- Protect uptime by tackling issues fast and maintaining equipment readiness.
What you will tackle
- End-to-end injection molding tasks: set-up start-up shutdown troubleshooting maintenance and workflow management.
- Execute the production plan including timely mold and/or material changes; seek and implement cycle time reductions.
- Perform process troubleshooting; set tooling and material parameters; inspect parts; and make adjustments to ensure conformity and quality.
- Partner with Engineering on current/new molds for alternative material sampling and new product sampling.
- Complete and verify documentation: start-up and in-process product inspection sheets process monitoring logs and changeover checklists.
- Prepare auxiliary equipment before start-up: circulators grinders thermolators hot runner controllers material dryers material loaders etc.
- Support other tasks consistent with the role as needed.
Must-haves
- High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience setting up and operating injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment including robots.
- Ability to diagnose process issues perform minor repairs manage quality and sustain high machine uptime.
- Basic English reading writing speaking and comprehension.
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel Outlook Word).
- Proficiency with measuring instruments: micrometers vernier calipers Acu-Gauge.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Master Molder certification preferred.
Physical & visual requirements
- Potential exposure to radio frequencies that may be dangerous for individuals with a pacemakerconsult your doctor.
- Ability to stand walk or sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands/arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk/hear; taste/smell.
- Occasional lifting/moving up to 35 lbs.
- Vision: close distance color peripheral depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Pushing/pulling (assisted) up to 2 hrs/day (interruptive); lifting up to 35 lbs. up to 2 hrs/day (interruptive).
