Thermal Testing Engineer (6282)

tD is seeking a Thermal Testing Engineer to support thermal testing laboratory validation and data collection initiatives that enable reliable system performance and engineering decisions. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in thermal testing temperature measurement laboratory system assembly setup and troubleshooting.

Location: Onsite - San Jose Ca

Pay Rate: $27 - $27.69 (hourly)

Conduct hands-on thermal testing temperature measurement and data collection to support engineering validation activities.
Assemble configure and troubleshoot laboratory test systems and equipment.
Execute thermal test procedures and document test results observations and findings.
Support the setup and validation of liquid-cooling test systems and related thermal test configurations.
Analyze test data and communicate results to engineering stakeholders to support technical decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on test planning execution troubleshooting and validation activities.
Maintain accurate laboratory documentation test records and technical reports.

Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs media material).
Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent practical experience.
Hands-on experience in thermal testing temperature measurement and data collection.
Hands-on laboratory experience with system assembly test setup and troubleshooting.

Experience with liquid-cooling test setup and validation.
Strong understanding of mechanical material properties particularly metals thermal interface materials (TIM) and EMI gasket materials.
Familiarity with thermal analysis and simulation tools such as FloTHERM.

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent practical experience.
