What You Will Do

Qualifications

What you need to do the job:

  • Must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Data Science Artificial Intelligence or a related field with a strong emphasis on machine learning methodologies and applications.
  • Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques with experience applying them through coursework projects research or prior experience.
  • Working knowledge of Python and exposure to machine learning or generative AI libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-Learn TensorFlow Keras PyTorch Hugging Face or similar tools.
  • Experience in data preprocessing feature engineering and data visualization using tools such as Pandas NumPy and Matplotlib to prepare data sets for model training.
  • Exposure to model evaluation prompt design retrieval-augmented generation large language models or responsible AI practices through coursework projects research or prior experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and platforms such as Apache Spark or Hadoop is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights through machine learning applications.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts and findings to nontechnical audiences and foster collaboration across teams.
  • A proactive attitude toward continuous learning and staying current on machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
  • A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.

Additional Information

Locations: The role requires a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days per week working onsite (Tuesday Wednesday and one additional day of the employees choice) and the option to work the remaining days remotely. Employees must be able to meet the onsite schedule.

Program Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week beginning May 24th 2027. Working days are Monday Friday.

Compensation: The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $25.00 to $33.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills education experience and location.

Work Authorization / Visa Sponsorship: One goal of this leadership development program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for leadership roles with The Cigna Group upon program completion. Therefore this position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who do not now or in the future require visa sponsorship including but not limited to H-1B CPT/OPT/STEM.

Pre-Employment Requirements: Selected candidates will be required to complete mandatory pre-employment tasks approximately 45 days prior to the programs start date. Completion of the drug test requires availability within the United States during this timeframe.
