Summary:
Provides oversight of test equipment development and calibration manages test planning and documentation analyzes results and collaborates with engineering to resolve issues. Leads test efficiency improvements trains technicians and supports cost and labor estimates for proposals.
Primary Duties:
- Provide supervision in fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
- Directs and coordinates activities relevant to development identification procurement installation verification and calibration of upgraded test equipment and instrumentation and control devices required to test record and reduce test data.
- Determines conditions and schedules under which tests are to be conducted.
- Generates qualification test plans procedures and reports (QTPs and QTRs).
- Generates Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs).
- Analyzes and interprets test data and preparation of test reports for submittal to management and PSEMC customers.
- Confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions equipment problems incomplete test data and/or data interpretation.
- Perform as a leader in the role of test efficiency and cycle time reduction efforts.
- Train technicians to perform product testing.
- Assist with sub-contract cost and labor estimations for contract proposals.
- Generate Work Orders Statements of Work and Requisition for sub-contracted testing.
- Interface with sub-contractor representatives to ensure that PSEMC requirements and schedules are met.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledgeable of Solid Works.
Requirements:
- B.S Degree in Engineering or Aerospace
- 3-7 years of experience in the aerospace or energetic materials field preferably in a production atmosphere. Knowledge of Quality Systems and practice a must. Computer knowledge required
- US citizenship is a requirement for this position due to U.S. Government contractual requirements
