Easterseals Florida is seeking a caring dependable and flexible Temporary Teacher/Teacher Assistant to join our team at Explorer Academy in Bunnell for an approximately three-month assignment during October November and December.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful impact in a positive supportive learning environment.

Schedule: Monday through Friday with hours scheduled between 7:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

What Youll Do

As a Temporary Teacher/Teacher Assistant youll help create a positive and enriching experience for children. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supporting classroom activities and daily routines
• Encouraging childrens learning development and independence
• Maintaining a safe nurturing and engaging environment
• Following lesson plans and classroom schedules
• Assisting with meals outdoor play rest time and transitions
• Building positive relationships with children families and staff
• Helping ensure classrooms remain clean organized and compliant with program standards

What Were Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to successfully complete the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45-Hour Child Care Training within the first 90 days of employment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive patient and supportive approach when working with children
• Ability to adapt to different classrooms age groups and routines
• Willingness to learn DCF standards ASQ Conscious Discipline and developmentally appropriate practices
