Job Summary
Our Technology Development Program (TECDP) empowers earlycareer technologists to build meaningful skills while transforming how millions experience healthcare. TECDP is a twoyear program designed to build technical expertise and a holistic understanding of how technology fuels transformation across the healthcare industry. Associates join a technical track aligned to their interests and career goals gaining handson experience expanding their technical acumen and collaborating across disciplines to solve realworld challenges in healthcare.
The Cybersecurity Track is designed for individuals passionate about protecting data investigating threats and building resilient systems across healthcare.
What youll do
- Meaningful Work: Contribute to Cyber Security across technical and investigative teams supporting threat detection incident response vulnerability management and risk mitigation to protect sensitive health data and critical infrastructure. Gain hands-on experience through real-world challenges in SOC analysis forensics and secure system engineering.
- Learn by Collaborating: Collaborate with peers mentors and cross-functional partners through community-focused and team-based initiatives. Learn by doing while supporting recruiting innovation onboarding and community engagement efforts.
- Structured Learning: Participate in core and track-specific curriculum including technical training leadership development and business exposure to support your growth as a well-rounded technologist.
- Community & Connection: Build strong relationships through networking mentorship cross-functional collaboration and peer engagement that support both personal and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have participated in and completed a Cigna Group internship prior to applying for this position.
- Education: Must have completed a bachelors or masters degree in Cybersecurity Information Security Computer Science or Information Technology at the time of hire. Related degrees will be considered with demonstrated interest or exposure to Cyber Security.
- Technical Proficiencies:
- Technical Roles: Familiarity with network and cloud security application security identity and access management (IAM) and secure system design.
- Investigative Roles: Exposure to threat intelligence incident response digital forensics security operations (SOC) risk analysis governance risk & compliance (GRC) and vulnerability management.
- Courses & Experiences: Academic coursework internships or projects focused on Cybersecurity.
- Well Rounded: Leadership or involvement in clubs organizations hackathons technical competitions or research projects.

Additional Information
- Location: This position is based in one of the following office locations: Bloomfield CT Austin TX. The role requires a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days per week working onsite (Tuesday Wednesday and one additional day of the employees choice) and the option to work the remaining days remotely. Relocation assistance is not offered and employees must be able to meet the onsite schedule for their assigned office location.
- Schedule: Full-time 40 hours/week MondayFriday starting July 12 2027.
- Work Authorization: One goal of this leadership development program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for leadership roles with The Cigna Group upon program completion. Therefore this position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who do not now or in the future require visa sponsorship including but not limited to H-1B CPT/OPT/STEM.
- Timeline: Process includes a recruiter screen and up to two interviews. Application window closes by midOctober 2026 or once filled.
- Compensation: Expected base salary is $88000 for bachelors graduates and $100000 for masters graduates plus competitive benefits.
- PreEmployment Requirements: Selected candidates will be required to complete mandatory preemployment tasks approximately 45 days prior to the program start date. Completion of the drug test requires availability within the United States during this timeframe.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position we anticipate offering an annual salary of 72400 - 120600 USD / yearly depending on relevant factors including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
