Compensation Overview
This role is based on flagged hours. Average compensation for this position is $30 - $40 per flat rate hour.
Experience & Qualifications Needed:
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- 1-3 years of automotive technician experience is required
- Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models and sizes.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment team-oriented flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment electrical engine alignment systems diagnostic equipment AC equipment etc.
- Ability to work some Saturdays
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.
- Tear down repair replace and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems steering systems linkages pistons rods gears valves and bearings.
- Rewire ignition systems lights and instrument panels and repairs manual and automatic transmissions.
- Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
