Position Summary
The Technical Writer develops clear accurate and user-focused content that helps employees customers and other audiences understand products systems services and technical processes. This position works closely with subject-matter experts and internal teams to translate complex information into practical documentation and easy-to-follow resources.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop user guides product documentation technical manuals and online help content.
* Research technical subjects and gather information from subject-matter experts.
* Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible language.
* Create step-by-step instructions reference materials and knowledge resources.
* Review existing documentation and identify areas requiring clarification or improvement.
* Collaborate with engineering product technology training and business teams.
* Maintain consistent terminology formatting and documentation standards.
* Edit technical content for accuracy clarity organization and readability.
* Create documentation for new products systems features and processes.
* Track changes to technical information and update published materials when necessary.
* Participate in documentation projects from initial research through final publication.
* Recommend improvements to documentation structure and content-development practices.
Requirements
* Bachelors degree in English Communications Technical Writing Journalism Information Technology or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly.
* Strong writing editing research and proofreading skills.
* Ability to understand and organize technical information.
* Experience working with digital documentation and content-development tools.
* Strong attention to accuracy consistency and readability.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams.
* Ability to manage multiple writing projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience creating software product healthcare financial or technical documentation.
* Familiarity with content-management systems or knowledge bases.
* Experience with documentation platforms such as Confluence Git-based documentation or similar tools.
* Understanding of information architecture and content organization.
* Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
