Job Summary

SYSTEMTECis seeking a Technical Team Lead for a remote opportunity. Candidate will lead and coordinate a team of technical professionals responsible for supporting critical mainframe and enterprise technology operations. This role combines technical oversight workload coordination issue resolution and resource planning in a fast-moving environment where responsive support may be required around the clock.

Required Qualifications of the Technical Team Lead:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • Bachelors degree in any field or 4 years of relevant professional experience; alternatively an associate degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field combined with 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of information systems experience.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS CICS (CICSPlex strongly preferred) VSAM and SMP/E.
  • Proficiency with COBOL JCL REXX and Assembler.
  • Experience using system monitoring and performance analysis tools such as BMC or IBM Performance Analyzer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a solid understanding of systems analysis principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests adapt to changing priorities and understand resource planning and organizational impacts.
  • CMS / Public Trust clearance is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Technical Team Lead:

  • Experience with CICSPlex and complex z/OS production environments.
  • Familiarity with application and business processes development and production environments databases utilities programming languages and system components.
  • Experience gathering and documenting technical requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate technical resources and balance assignments according to staff capabilities availability and business priorities.
  • Experience working in a 24x7 operational support environment.

Responsibilities of the Technical Team Lead:

  • Coordinate technical specialists across assigned work requests ensuring activities are appropriately prioritized and staffed.
  • Review approved requests and assign work based on team availability technical expertise and overall business requirements.
  • Track work progress evaluate performance and address technical or resource-related issues that could affect delivery.
  • Coordinate necessary resources and facilitate communication among technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues and help identify practical solutions while maintaining operational continuity.
  • Support continuous improvement and modernization efforts while ensuring dependable day-to-day technology operations.

Work Location: Remote. EST hours.
