Position Summary:
The idealcandidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire andability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. Thisis an unpaid internship program for current MassBay students with no benefits.
As a member ofthe End User Services team this individual provides technicalhardware/software support for client computers and other technologies withinMassBay. This individual provides courteous timely and effective assistanceto students faculty and staff including classroom lab and event support.
Note: Current Computer Science majors may be eligible to satisfy CS 280 through thisinternship. For more details pleasecontact Brenda Egan at
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitor and resolve IT help desk ticket requests and incidents;
Support computers and peripheral equipment using a variety of operating systems and applications;
Assist with maintaining and installing software applications related to MassBay computing;
Support College-wide and multi-campus audiovisual services in classrooms meeting rooms and auditorium;
Assist in providing routine computer printer and peripherals maintenance;
Provide computer software and hardware orientation for students;
Perform other duties as assigned.

RequiredQualifications:
Current MassBay Student with good academic standing;
Enrollment in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Cybersecurity Mathematics or STEM related program;
Experience troubleshooting computers or audiovisual equipment;
Experience using Windows 10 Windows 11 Chrome OS or Mac OS.
Preferred Qualifications:
Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;
Experience working in a community college or similar environment;
Demonstrated commitment to working with students in need;
Previous experience maintaining and trouble-shooting software applications and PC hardware;
Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills;
Abilityto work as part of a team.
