About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Looker Consultant with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support analytics and reporting initiatives for a leading healthcare company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing developing and optimizing Looker dashboards data models and healthcare analytics solutions ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and deploy Looker dashboards data models and visualizations for healthcare data analytics.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate healthcare domain requirements into scalable BI solutions.
- Optimize Looker data models and explore LookML for performance and maintainability.
- Integrate Looker with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery Cloud Storage Pub/Sub etc.).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory standards in data handling and reporting.
- Collaborate with data engineers analysts and clinicians to deliver actionable insights from clinical operational and financial healthcare data.
- Provide end-user training and support for Looker dashboards and reporting.
- Troubleshoot performance and data quality issues in Looker and GCP environments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science Information Systems Data Analytics or related field.
- 36 years of experience in BI/Analytics with at least 2 years of Looker development.
- Proven expertise with LookML and Looker administration.
- Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) especially BigQuery.
- Healthcare domain experience is highly preferred (EHR claims data clinical data HL7 FHIR standards etc.).
- Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning on large healthcare datasets.
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines data warehousing and healthcare data governance.
- Strong communication skills to work with clinical and business stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
- Knowledge of FHIR/HL7 data models healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience with HIPAA-compliant data handling.
- Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Experience with data visualization best practices in healthcare reporting.
