Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior L2/L3 Full Support Engineer to join a dedicated Application Management Services (AMS) team supporting mission-critical enterprise applications for a leading financial services client. This role owns deep technical troubleshooting root cause analysis and stability improvements across a .NET/Angular/SQL Server application estate operating at the highest tier of production support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead L3 and L2-level incident resolution for complex high-priority production issues ensuring timely restoration of service and adherence to SLAs.
  • Perform deep root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring or critical defects and drive permanent fixes rather than workarounds.
  • Support troubleshoot and optimize enterprise applications built on C# Framework and Angular/React.
  • Design support and troubleshoot REST APIs and microservices including integration and batch-processing failures.
  • Own SQL Server performance tuning query optimization and data-level troubleshooting for production issues.
  • Support deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines; participate in release and change management within an Azure DevOps environment.
  • Work hands-on with Microsoft Azure cloud services for application hosting monitoring and operational support.
  • Support distributed high-availability systems and diagnose issues across service boundaries and integration points.
  • Mentor L2 support engineers contribute to knowledge base and runbook development and drive operational maturity.
  • Partner directly with business and technical stakeholders to communicate incident status RCA findings and improvement recommendations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and CAB (Change Advisory Board) processes as required.
Required Skills
  • 8 years of hands-on experience application development and/or production support.
  • Strong expertise in C# Framework.
  • Front-end experience with Angular and/or React.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and REST API design/support.
  • Advanced SQL Server skills performance tuning execution plan analysis query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services Azure Monitor/Application Insights Azure DevOps).
  • Experience supporting batch processes scheduled jobs and system integrations.
  • Strong incident management and RCA discipline ideally within an ITIL-aligned environment.
  • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow Jira Splunk or equivalent monitoring/ticketing platforms.
Good to Have
  • Experience in Banking / Financial Services production support environments.
  • Exposure to Appian or low-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with DevOps automation branching strategies (e.g. BODM/trunk-based models) and release engineering.
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading L2/L3 support pods.
Soft Skills / Attributes
  • Calm methodical operator under production-incident pressure.
  • Strong stakeholder communication able to translate technical RCA into business-readable updates.
  • Ownership mindset with a bias toward permanent fixes over temporary patches.
  • Comfortable operating in a regulated compliance-conscious banking environment.
