Broadridge is Growing! We are seeking a Tax Reporting Test Analyst with financial services experience to support testing activities related to tax reporting initiatives system enhancements and regulatory changes. This role will combine tax reporting knowledge with hands-on testing data validation reconciliation and defect management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tax reporting systems and financial-services data and be able to validate end-to-end results from source/history data through core processing tax form boxes and final reporting outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute QA and UAT test scenarios and test cases including functional regression integration end-to-end dress rehearsal and production-validation testing.
- Apply tax reporting knowledge to understand expected processing results identify appropriate test scenarios and validate system behavior.
- Review business functional and tax reporting requirements and translate them into comprehensive testing scenarios and expected results.
- Identify required test populations test data expected results dependencies prerequisite processing and testing coverage.
- Validate end-to-end tax data processing from transaction/history data through core tables business-rule processing tax form box calculations and final reporting outputs.
- Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation to identify discrepancies between source/history data processed data expected results and tax reporting outputs.
- Use SQL and Excel to research data develop test populations validate results reconcile large datasets and investigate testing discrepancies.
- Validate source-to-target mappings file layouts data transformations calculations tax business rules reference data and system configuration.
- Validate tax forms and reporting outputs against source data expected results documented requirements and applicable tax reporting rules.
- Execute positive negative boundary exception and regression testing to confirm system functionality and identify unintended impacts.
- Identify and document defects in JIRA with clear reproduction steps supporting data expected results and actual results.
- Manage defects through analysis remediation retesting regression testing and closure.
- Partner with Development Product Operations QA UAT and Tax teams to investigate and resolve tax reporting testing and data discrepancies.
- Track test execution defects blockers dependencies and outstanding items through resolution.
- Maintain test cases test evidence reconciliation results defect documentation and supporting documentation required for implementation and production readiness.
- Support annual tax-year changes regulatory updates system migrations conversions dress rehearsals and production implementations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in tax reporting QA/UAT testing tax data analysis operations testing or a similar role within financial services with demonstrated experience combining tax domain knowledge and hands-on testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with QA and UAT testing including functional regression integration end-to-end system-validation and production-validation testing.
- Experience developing and executing detailed test scenarios test cases test data and expected results.
- Experience performing end-to-end tax data testing across transaction/history data core processing tables tax form box calculations and final reporting outputs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with large datasets reconciliations exception analysis and root-cause investigation.
- Proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Excel for data validation reconciliation research and testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with JIRA is required including creating and managing defects documenting expected and actual results tracking issues through resolution supporting retesting and maintaining testing status and evidence.
- Experience validating source-to-target mappings data transformations calculations business rules file layouts reference data and system configuration.
- Strong experience identifying documenting tracking retesting and closing defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting data.
- Experience working with or testing tax reporting systems or tax data platforms is strongly preferred.
- Experience with tax information reporting including Forms-ESA 1042-S and 1099 reporting is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with retirement reporting NRA reporting income reporting withholding brokerage transactions and securities processing is preferred.
- Experience within brokerage wealth management banking securities processing asset servicing or financial reporting environments.
- Experience with large-volume data reconciliation and comparison testing.
- Ability to independently manage assigned QA/UAT testing activities reconciliations defects and test evidence through completion.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent testing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project-delivery methodologies.
Hourly range $60-70/hr
