Job Summary

Responsibilities:
Compliance support
oComprehending all the compliance requirements to reconcile compute and prepare sales and use tax returns on a monthly quarterly semi-annual and annual basis.
oIdentify potential process improvements.
oPreparing EFT and Check requests.
oKnowledge of state filing sites for on-line filing.
Sales and Use tax Determination
oAnalyze purchase invoices for correct tax.
oIdentify accrued tax inaccuracies.
oMonitor tax law changes.
oAssist purchasing with commodity code selection and interpretation of product purchases.
oIdentify potential process improvements.
Other projects assigned.
Skills
Proficiency in Excel.
Ability to read and comprehend processing procedures.
Self-Starter
Knowledge of tax laws and research sites such as CCH.
Sales tax knowledge is helpful.

- Organizes and analyzes tax forms for filing in accordance with regulations.
- Research and monitor appropriate federal state and local tax regulations and obligations.
- Preparing appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal state and local jurisdictions.
- Working with business units to keep them informed about tax implications of their operation.
- Mentoring junior staff on appropriate regulations filing procedures and internal communication needs.
