Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Systems Security Engineer I (P1) to join our Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team in developing solutions to protect the Warfighters technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Cyber Security Software Assurance and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems. Join our highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our Warfighters. This is an onsite position at Raytheon.

What You Will Do

• Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results

• Create patch artifacts such as patch media and information assurance posture reports; run regression tests on the system

• Validate secure configuration of routers switches firewalls servers operating systems applications and other assets using DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as Nessus STIG Evaluate STIG and/or RADIX

• Create and maintain Linux Bash and Python scripts

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Linux Bash and Python scripting

• Basic understanding of the systems engineering process

• Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP GSLC CEH

• Knowledge/course work of radar signal & image processing digital communications control theories estimation theory and/or electro optics

• Active/Current DoD security clearance or SSBI

The salary range for this role is 57200 USD - 108800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
