What You Will Do

Youll support the development and delivery of advanced communication solutions that address critical customer and mission needs. No prior industry experience is requiredwell provide the training tools and mentorship you need to succeed.

This internship is based in Richardson TX and offers an opportunity to learn from industry experts while gaining hands-on experience in aerospace and defense.

• Perform in a cross-functional agile team.

• Work in close coordination with a mentor using Collins Aerospace engineering processes.

• Creation decomposition and tracing requirements for communications systems on military platforms both air and ground applications.

• Work with a model-based systems engineering application to create logical and physical design diagrams.

• Perform integration and testing for these communications solutions.

• Support future bids and proposals providing new business opportunities.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelors or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience in systems engineering to include capturing customer requirements operations concept development or deriving and tracing system and sub-system requirements.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw Cameo Enterprise Architect or similar resources using SysML.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience research coursework or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior RTX internship co-op or work experience.
• Familiarity with RTX systems processes and tools.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions.
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite such as Jira or Confluence.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and being part of highly integrated Agile teams working closely with multiple engineering development teams (SW HW Cyber or Sys).
• Ability to obtain aSecretU.S. government issued security clearance after the start date.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
