Systems Engineering Integration and Test Lead, IBCS-M

Andurils Air Defense team builds autonomous robots that find other robots and knock them out of the sky. This team is the nexus of premier Anduril-built products such as Roadrunner Sentry Anvil Pulsar and Wisp integrated into a software-enabled Air Defense family of systems tailored to the modern battlespace. Were seeking a Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Lead to join our rapidly growing team in Irvine CA or Huntsville AL supporting the IBCS-M program. IBCS-M is a heavily software-defined system: the majority of integration on this program means bringing first-party Anduril systems and third-party partner systems onto the IBCS-M network and data fabric through SDKs APIs and secure connectivity then proving via test that the resulting system performs as required in the field. This role owns that technical thread end to end: driving SDK and interface integration for new 1P and 3P assets defining and executing the test campaigns that prove the system works keeping requirements and configuration under control as the system evolves quickly across releases and leading the program through its major technical gate reviews. Youll work daily across software engineering test and field teams and serve as the primary technical bridge between those teams program management and the customer. This role suits someone who thinks in systems is comfortable owning technical rigor (traceability baselines risk) without slowing down a fast-moving software program and can represent the program credibly in front of both engineers and government stakeholders.

The SEIT Lead works closely with the programs Technical Program Manager who owns sprint cadence backlog management field support and the logistics around test events and reviews the SEIT Lead owns the technical substance and outcomes of integration test baselines and gate reviews.

• Direct integration across the system: Own the physical and functional integration of IBCS-M subsystems working closely with hardware software and vendor teams to ensure components come together into a cohesive working system. This includes driving SDK API and secure-connectivity integration for the programs growing set of first-party Anduril systems (e.g. Vampire RPS-42 WISP) and third-party partner systems ensuring each new asset can be reliably onboarded onto the IBCS-M network and data fabric.
• Own test planning execution and validation: Define the technical test approach pass/fail criteria and test procedures needed to prove the system meets operational requirements and make the engineering call on whether results demonstrate readiness (program office coordinates the logistics around these events).
• Maintain technical baselines: Support configuration control requirements traceability and risk management across the system lifecycle ensuring the team is always working against a known controlled technical baseline.
• Lead milestone and gate reviews: Own the technical content and outcome of System Requirements Reviews (SRR) Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) Critical Design Reviews (CDR) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) determining whether the system is technically ready to proceed at each stage.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering integration and test ideally supporting a hardware/software system in a defense national security or aerospace environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading system integration efforts across multiple engineering disciplines (hardware software and/or manufacturing).
• Hands-on experience planning executing and documenting system-level test campaigns to validate operational requirements.
• Experience owning requirements traceability configuration management and/or risk management for a complex system program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to represent technical status and decisions to both engineering teams and non-technical or government stakeholders.
• Ability to work across hardware software and test disciplines and translate between them.
• Must be able to obtain a minimum Secret Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Experience with systems engineering in an autonomous systems robotics or air defense environment.
• Experience integrating third-party or partner systems into a larger platform via SDKs APIs or similar interfaces.
• Experience working in a rapidly iterating test environment with tight integration between development and test teams.
• Experience with requirements and configuration management tools (Jama Confluence/Jira).
• Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering an Engineering discipline or related technical field; advanced degree a plus.
