We are looking for a results-driven Systems Architect to join the Nuclear Command Control and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC) team at Fort Meade MD.
This role is more than just a jobits an opportunity to contribute to critical national security efforts. The NC3 Enterprise Center serves as the Department of Defenses lead organization for enterprise-level systems engineering and architecture for NC3. Under the leadership of the Commander U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) the team leverages subject matter expertise and best practices to transform mission and operational requirements into effective solutions and capabilities. This is a Mission Essential contract that must be performed under all circumstances to achieve its DoD component missions and responsibilities.
As a Systems Architect on the contracts Configuration Management Team you will work with government customers to establish system information requirements and design implement and maintain scalable secure architectures integrating software hardware and communications. The role governs technical architecture while ensuring all system changes are identified controlled audited and documented per DoD standards supporting compliance audit readiness and present and future cross-functional capabilities and interfaces.

Primary Responsibilities
Design the blueprint for mission-critical systems Establish system information requirements and architect end-to-end solutions across software hardware and communications that meet todays demands while scaling for tomorrows cross-functional needs.
Keep the enterprise in sync Maintain the NC3 Configuration Management Plan and Baseline driving change control configuration identification status accounting and audits that keep complex systems accurate secure and mission-ready.
Modernize how work gets done Champion the digital engineering strategy by automating and digitizing configuration management workflows building federated data frameworks and streamlining audit and verification processes.
Solve problems that matter Analyze workflow and organizational challenges identify gaps and develop smart corrective actions that improve performance and strengthen the broader NC3 Enterprise.
Collaborate at the highest levels Partner with configuration control boards engineering teams and senior stakeholders to review change requests present findings and shape decisions that safeguard national security missions.
Basic Qualifications
Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI clearance (mandatory).
Education: BA or BS in Engineering Computer Science or educational equivalent.
Experience: 5 years inthe following:
Establishing system information requirements.
Designing architecture including softwarehardwareand communications to support total requirements and provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
Evaluating problems of workflows andorganization anddevelopingappropriate correctiveactions.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (MS Teams SharePoint).
Communication: Strong written/verbal skills for technical documentation and presentations.
Work Style: Ability to manage multiple tasks in an agile dynamic environment.
Desired Qualifications
The Open Group Framework (TOGAF) certification.
DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) certification.
Experience with systems engineering and enterprise architecture for high assurance communications systems.
Background in NC3 architecture/performance analysis and engineering design.
Knowledge of National Leadership Command Capability or Senior Leader Command Control and Communications Systems.
Experience collaborating with NC3 stakeholders including Air Force Navy NC3 Enterprise Center USSTRATCOM USCYBERCOM Joint Staff and OSD.
