Systems Architect, Advisor

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop data center infrastructure architectures designs standards and modernization solutions supporting scalable and resilient operations.

• Translate business and mission requirements into target-state infrastructure architectures and phased roadmaps.

• Ensure alignment of proposed solutions with enterprise technical architecture and applicable federal standards.

• Support cost/benefit analyses for architecture options and vendor/technology selections.

Requirements

• Currently possess or be able to obtain VAPublic Trust High Risk (BI High) / Tier 4 background investigation.
• Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field; 8years of infrastructure architecture experience.
• Education substitutions (per Peraton Career & Compensation Framework): Masters degree substitutes 2 years of required experience; Ph.D. substitutes 5 years of required lieu of a Bachelors degree 4 additional years of relevant experience is acceptable (Associates degree 2 additional years also accepted for equivalent professional levels).

Desired Skills Tools & Certifications

• Tools: Architecture modeling tools (MS Visio ArchiMate Lucidchart) Nlyte AO/EO ServiceNow CMDB AutoCAD and Power BI.
• Processes: ITIL v4 service management SAFe Agile / Scrum for iterative delivery NIST 800-53 / RMF ISO 27001 TIA-942 ASHRAE TC 9.9 VA CRISP alignment NFPA 70/70E and OSHA safety practices.; TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Certifications (desirable): TOGAF AWS/Azure Solutions Architect BICSI RCDD Uptime Institute ATD. ITIL v4 Foundation (Practitioner/Managing Professional a plus) SAFe Practitioner or SAFe DevOps.
