We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support application development and system enhancement initiatives for a state-level client. The role involves understanding business objectives analyzing system capabilities and recommending effective solutions while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analyze business objectives and operational procedures to identify system improvements and automation opportunities
- Gather and document requirements from stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Create use cases workflows acceptance criteria and system documentation
- Perform cost/benefit analysis and evaluate alternative solutions
- Ensure system design complies with established standards
- Conduct testing including test data preparation execution and defect resolution
- Provide status updates and communicate risks/issues to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers analysts DBAs project managers)
- Maintain updates in ticketing systems and ensure transparency
- Facilitate knowledge transfer through documentation and training sessions
- 5 years of experience in Medicaid Claims Processing
- Strong experience in business analysis and solution identification
- Expertise in gathering and documenting user requirements
- Experience writing detailed functional and technical documentation
- Experience in cost/benefit analysis
- Ability to define input/output formats and reporting requirements
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and wireframing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of IT industry trends architecture concepts and emerging technologies
- Understanding of data integrity security practices and standards
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience withState DIR Project Delivery Framework
- Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and data management
- Knowledge of software architecture and infrastructure components
