SwingShift Maintenance
12-month hourly employee
Days of Work: Forty hour work week with the option of Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday as an off off day will be in effect for one calendar year from the date of choice.
Times of Shift: Normal hourly schedule will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with the availability for early call in case of snow orother hour adjustments as assigned by the Building and Grounds Manager. Saturday hours will be announced the Friday before to maintain proper building coverage.

Job Summary:

1. Assists groundsman in routine outdoor maintenance.
2. Assists in preparing playing fields prior to athletic/physical education use.
3. Assists with snow removal operations.
4. Participate in district sponsored training programs to update knowledge and skills.
5. Responsible for building security as required.
6. Performs other duties as assigned by the Building and Grounds Manager.

Qualifications:

1. Possess or be capable of securing and maintaining a commercial drivers license.
2. Skilled in the use of mechanical equipment.
3. Have the ability to repair equipment according to instruction manuals and follow district maintenance schedules.
4. Must possess or be capable of securing and maintaining the Illinois Department of Agriculture applicator license.
5. Possess safety habits skills and insight while performing maintenance work.
6. Familiar with swimming pool maintenance.
7. Must be capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned tasks.

Working Conditions:
Is under the supervision of the the Building and Grounds Manager.

Terms of Employment
Twelve months. Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the District 211 Operations Maintenance Group.
