• Actively participates in internal and external third-party audits.
• Leads in-woods field inspections and source desk reviews and reviews Rapid Risk Assessments (RRAs) to ensure that feedstock production adheres to relevant Best Management Practices (BMPs) certification requirements and company policies.
• Engages with the forest industry including SFI Implementation Committees and collaborates with local conservation partners.
• Facilitates the review of in-woods and residual supplier questionnaires to ensure sustainability expectations are aligned between Drax and its feedstock suppliers.
• Serves as the sustainability point of contact for the Drax fibre procurement team.
• Supports activities related to the certification program to ensure all certificates remain in good standing.
• Assists the Sustainability Manager in providing critical information for Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) and annual reporting.

• A Bachelors degree in Forestry or a related field in Natural Resources is required.
• Applied knowledge of forest management forest sourcing or natural resource management is essential; experience with forest certification is ideal.
• Strong analytical skills including proficiency in Excel are required. Experience with 3Log and/or other data management systems is preferred. Familiarity with ArcGIS is also preferred.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written as well as collaborative abilities are necessary.
