Sushi Chef | Palma

$19 - $22/hr.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role is preferred but not required. We offer a thorough training program to help individuals with strong knife skills build the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow recipes instructions and food safety standards accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality consistency cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sushi and related menu items according to recipes presentation standards and specifications.
• Follow allergy precaution procedures carefully including preventing cross-contamination and handling guest allergy requests with accuracy.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh properly stored labeled rotated handled safely and prepared with attention to quality and detail.
• Duties may include occasionally lifting and carrying kitchen equipment ingredients and other supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain cleanliness organization and sanitation standards in the sushi bar prep areas coolers and kitchen workstations throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety health and sanitation guidelines at all times including proper handwashing temperature control safe food handling and equipment sanitation.
• Work closely with kitchen team members leadership and front-of-house staff to support timely efficient and high-quality service.
• Assist with daily prep lists inventory counts product rotation stocking and ordering needs for sushi ingredients and related supplies.
• Provide friendly professional guest interaction when working in guest-facing areas while representing the restaurant with hospitality confidence and care.
