As a Survey Crew Chief you will be responsible for performing survey field operations including boundary topographic construction layout ALTA/NSPS and existing conditions surveys utilizing conventional robotic and GPS equipment. This is an opportunity for an experienced SUE professional who is already coordinating projects to further their career within a dynamic and growing Engineering Surveying and Planning firm.
Responsibilities:
- Strong organizational communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate field operations and supervise survey crews effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field crews on a variety of land surveying projects utilizing conventional robotic and GPS equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in field measurements data collection and documentation.
- Willingness to travel out of town for project assignments with lodging and meal per diem provided.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding fieldwork as required.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in land surveying preferred
- Associates degree in surveying/geomatics civil engineering or related field preferred
- SIT or PLS preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel navigational programs CADD programs and Trimble Business Center preferred
- Experience with Trimble data collection GPS receivers and robotic total stations considered a plus
- DOT and route survey experience considered a plus
- Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen background check and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the companys driving (MVR) policy.
