MaineGeneral is hiring a Surgical Technologist to join our team at the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville and new graduates are encouraged to apply!

Job Description:

What Youll Do:

  • Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes solutions instruments equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.

  • Assists with preparing transporting positioning and draping patients.

  • Passes instruments to the physician during surgery. Continually accounts for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.

  • Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited post-secondary Surgical Technology program. New Graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.

  • Clinical Skills & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver high-quality patient care work collaboratively within a surgical team and provide exceptional customer service.

  • Commitment to Excellence: A dedication to maintaining high standards of patient care and professionalism contributing to a positive supportive surgical environment.

  • Professional Growth: Interest in ongoing learning and staying current with advances in surgical technology techniques and best practices.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Required within 6 months of hire.

Compensation Information:
$23.20 - $40.60

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience qualifications skills and market addition to base pay eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift weekend holiday on-call and other applicable differentials.
