Surgical Technologist
Location: Herrin Illinois
Pay Rate: $55/hr
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM 4 days per week with rotating day off; call includes 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month
Total Working Hours per week: 36 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR Technologist experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced OR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Herrin Illinois. This role is ideal for a surgical tech professional who is confident in operating room setup sterile technique instrument handling and supporting surgeons during procedures.
Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room instruments tables and sterile supplies for surgical procedures

Assist with patient positioning skin preparation and draping

Support the surgeon with gowning gloving instruments and sutures

Maintain accurate counts of instruments sutures and sponges

Assist with specimen collection dressings and bandages

Perform point-of-use cleaning and proper handling of instruments and equipment

Support efficient room turnover and restocking of supplies
Requirements

Active Illinois license or applicable state credential required

Minimum 2 years of OR Technologist experience required

BLS certification required

EPIC experience required

Graduate of an OR technician program approved on-the-job training military surgical tech training or equivalent background required

NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred for certified Surgical Technologists

Must be available for scheduled shifts and call requirements
