Shift: Days 10-hour shifts 6:30 AM-5:00 PM

Certification: BLS/BCLS through AHA required
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist / Surgical Technician to support surgical procedures in the Operating Room (OR) and Endoscopy Room. The Surgical Tech will prepare instruments and equipment maintain a sterile environment and provide hands-on support to surgeons nurses and the surgical team.
The ideal candidate is experienced in a variety of surgical services understands sterile and aseptic techniques and is comfortable working day shifts with required call responsibilities.
- Prepare the OR and Endoscopy Room for scheduled procedures.
- Open sterile supplies and set up surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile field and follow aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
- Assist the OR Circulating RN surgeons and other members of the surgical team.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and provide required instruments and supplies.
- Follow infection-control patient-safety and facility protocols.
- Inspect surgical supplies and equipment for expiration dates and proper condition.
- Clean organize and maintain surgical areas after procedures.
- Support efficient workflow within the OR and Endoscopy areas.
- Assist with patient transport as needed.
- Participate in orientation and training of new staff members.
- Attend meetings committees and continuing education activities.
- Provide support in Sterile Processing when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 2 years of Surgical Technologist/Surgical Technician experience preferred.
- Experience with a broad range of surgical services preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required/accepted.
- Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
- Certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists preferred.
- Current BLS/BCLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Strong knowledge of sterile/aseptic techniques and infection-control practices.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced high-stress surgical environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and patients.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
- Must be willing and available to take required call.
The ideal candidate is a Surgical Tech with 2 years of OR experience strong knowledge of sterile technique and current AHA BLS/BCLS certification. Candidates should be comfortable working 10-hour day shifts and taking required call.
