As our Surgical Services RN you will provide expert patient-centered nursing care throughout the perioperative continuum ensuring optimal outcomes and safety for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your specialized clinical skills and critical thinking are essential in preparing patients assisting surgeons and facilitating a sterile efficient surgical environment.
Every day you will meticulously assess patients pre-operatively develop care plans circulate or scrub during procedures and provide comprehensive post-operative care expertly managing medications and monitoring vitals. Youll educate patients ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and collaborate inter-disciplinarily while meticulously documenting and advocating for patient well-being.
To succeed youll need exceptional clinical assessment skills strong critical thinking for high-pressure situations and excellent communication for team collaboration and patient education. A profound commitment to patient safety sterile technique and advancing perioperative nursing along with self-motivation and adaptability are essential in this dynamic role.
- Conducts care assessments and interprets assessment data to determine care needs and constraints in meeting these needs.
- Successfully completes system-based and hospital specific competencies.
- Maintains accurate documentation of observations treatments teaching medications care given patient response and integrates into plan of care.
- In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient) the Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating planning directing and administering care to the patient. Implements a plan of care based upon established standards of care/practice policies and procedures incorporating cultural religious psychosocial physical and age-related issues.
- Possesses knowledge of medications and administers safely and accurately.
- Appropriately delegates and supervises routine technical functions to non-licensed and licensed personnel.
- Other Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing and Minimum one year of experience as an RN in an acute care facility upon hire
- Registered Nurse: KY upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days
