Job Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Manage facility maintenance personnel maintenance activities vendor performance and facility asset readiness within an assigned district. Lead the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs drive in-house maintenance utilization ensure safe and compliant facilities and support operational excellence through effective maintenance planning cost management and workforce development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead and develop Facility Maintenance Technicians (FMTs) fostering a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee district maintenance operations ensuring timely execution of work orders preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.

  • Monitor and drive performance metrics including work order aging response times backlog completion rates and service quality.

  • Partner with Operations leadership to prioritize maintenance needs and support uninterrupted business operations.

  • Manage vendor performance and relationships ensuring service standards while identifying cost and efficiency opportunities.

  • Control maintenance spends through cost analysis resource optimization and effective vendor management.

  • Coordinate daily operations including workload prioritization scheduling resource allocation and project execution.

  • Oversee administrative functions including payroll timekeeping work orders reporting inventory and system compliance.

  • Facilitate team communication to review performance reinforce safety and drive continuous improvement.

  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations as well as company policies/procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience plus two (2) years experience in building maintenance.

  • Two (2) years of leadership supervisory team lead or management experience preferred.

  • Experience managing maintenance vendors service contracts and facility-related projects preferred.

  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing doors dock equipment and general facility infrastructure preferred.

  • Strong leadership interpersonal and employee development skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems.

  • Valid drivers license required.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to travel within assigned district and region as required.

  • Exposure to active freight operations maintenance activities construction sites and outdoor environments.

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions noise levels dust and facility maintenance work environments.

  • Hours may vary based on operational needs emergencies and project requirements.

  • Ability to visit and inspect facilities equipment and maintenance work areas.
