Job Summary

Are you looking to expand your medical office experience Dayton Physicians Network is seeking a PRN (as-needed) Support Associate Front Office to join our Oncology team. This position is based primarily at our Englewood location with the opportunity to float to other office locations as needed.

Summary:
The Front Office Support Associate provides support to all functions within the medical office. Duties to include but are not limited to: answer and route incoming calls; patient check in and out; collect co-payments/deductibles; update patient demographic information schedule appointments; pull file scan medical records; various administrative tasks as required.
Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • PRN (as-needed) position
  • No evenings weekends or holidays

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer and route incoming calls;
  • Obtains verifies and updates patient demographic information;
  • Collects and records co-payments and/or deductibles;
  • Verifies charts contain all necessary paperwork;
  • Schedules return appointments as required;
  • Scans medical records for EMR as needed or requested;
  • Ensures patient waiting area is free from trash and clutter;
  • Assists other office support positions as needed or requested;
  • Follow all health care privacy and safety rules and adheres to Dayton Physicians Core Values;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/ or Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED. At least one (1) year of previous experience working in a Medical Office or administrative position 2-3 years experience is preferred.
General Skill Requirements:
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working with a Practice Management system.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position to provide excellent customer service to both our internal and external stakeholders.
