The Defense Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Supply Technician I in support of Storage Area Operations for the Ammunition Supply Activity Program ASP/TSA in Kuwait. The Supply Technician I reports directly to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of Class V warehousing duties to include: Ammunition and Residue receipts issues shipments turn-ins re-warehousing and inter-depot transfers.
  • Verifies materials against receiving documents noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage.
  • Routes material to prescribed storage locations.
  • Stocks stacks and palletizes munitions.
  • Prepares and uses magazine data cards.
  • Prepares lite boxes.
  • Rearranges and inventories stored munitions.
  • Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
  • Removes munitions from storage and issues munitions upon receipt of proper documentation.
  • Reports any unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Ensures operational areas are free of debris and rubbish.
  • Operates Material Handling Equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 or more years of supply and logistical experience ammunition storage experience a plus.
  • Active DOD Secret security clearance or the able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to complex issues.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service both internal and external.
  • Experience resolving complex issues utilizing external resources and escalating internally when appropriate.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent on-site schedule.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Kuwait Drivers license and hold a valid U.S. drivers license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Kuwaiti work visa.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in ammunition storage issue receipt preparation safety and accountability procedures.
  • Experience in the operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE- example: Forklift RTCH).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Kuwaiti Immigration Requirements for obtaining a Kuwaiti work visa include but are not limited to obtaining and providing an authenticated police background check verifying NO prior criminal history. At this time Kuwait is not approving residency visas for those 60 years of age and older.
