Supplier Development & Sourcing Specialist

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Procurement Specialist at Atotech an MKS company you will partner with Manufacturing Planning Quality Finance and suppliers to procure raw materials resale products and services that support production requirements while optimizing cost quality and delivery this role you will report to the Procurement Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to acquire raw materials resale products and services that meet quality cost and delivery requirements
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities products and services
Negotiate contracts pricing and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions
Prepare and process purchase orders ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

* Review and act upon MRP messages and ERP reports to support material availability and production requirements
Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services
Resolve issues related to procurement such as delivery delays material shortages invoicing discrepancies and quality concerns

* Identify and develop new and alternate sources of supply to support business continuity and mitigate supply risk

Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier information including pricing lead times and delivery schedules

* Collaborate with manufacturing planning quality and finance to support operational and business objectives

* Support inventory optimization cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives

* Perform other duties as assigned

Skills You Bring:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
2 years of related experience

Experience with chemicals

Experience with SAP

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Perform activities such as sitting standing or typing for extended periods of time
Ability to remain in a stationary position for 90-100% of the time
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
Must be able to exchange accurate information
The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
Operates in a professional office environment
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
