SummaryBalfour Beatty is seeking a Superintendent in Hermiston/Umatilla OR. This role is responsible for all field operations including the coordination of subcontractors work. Responsible for all field activities associated with the project including ultimate responsibility for implementation of Safety/Zero Harm program for the jobsite supervision of all field construction work by subcontractors and self-performed work. Shares responsibility with the project manager for developing the project budget actively participating in the preconstruction phase and ensuring that the project is built on time within budget and according to company policies and procedures. Manages and mentors assistant superintendents and other field personnel. 30 hours of OSHA training once every four years or maintain STS Financial ResponsibilitiesHelps the project manager review and update progress and cost reports schedules and requirements for completion on a regular basisActively participates in development and management of projects general conditions construction schedule project planning/phasing and buyout strategy during ServicesParticipates in preconstruction planning regarding project schedule and budget. Reviews project estimates and cost control expectations regarding schedules methods policies permits safety sustainability quality control and performance in subcontract scopes and pre-bid/post-bid Start-up and SchedulingUnderstands project specifications contract documents and quality on methods materials schedules and procedures while ensuring testing requirements are met and Administration Operations and Close-outEnsures project site and company assets are safety sustainability EEO risk management training and quality control employee and subcontractor performance and approves bills and progress and safety owners and architects informed of project closeout is completed Customer RelationsBuilds effective relationships with customers design teams subcontractors suppliers and user presentations to seek new business Leadership and Employee DevelopmentPromotes company values and employees through coaching development plans and effectively with internal and external integrity and commitment to customer ConditionsMajority of work is completed on construction job sites. Appropriate PPE is teams may need to relocate to other geographic work locations as QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.10 years of construction field experience.5 years of supervisory presentation and communication to quality improvement and customer with Microsoft Office products and communication range: $130000 - $160000*This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and the range may be modified in the future. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales orrevenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs. No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus commission or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Companys sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Companys sole discretion consistent with the law.
