Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and want the flexibility to work in different classrooms while helping children learn grow and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Schedule: Hours will be scheduled between 7:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday based on program needs.

What Youll Do

As a Substitute Teacher / Teacher Assistant youll help maintain a positive learning environment and provide classroom support as needed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing classroom coverage across multiple age groups
• Following lesson plans daily schedules and teacher guidance
• Supervising children and ensuring a safe learning environment
• Assisting with learning activities meals outdoor play rest time and daily routines
• Supporting childrens social emotional and developmental growth
• Encouraging language development through meaningful conversations and open-ended questions
• Maintaining attendance records and classroom documentation
• Communicating professionally with families and team members
• Keeping classrooms clean organized and compliant with health and safety standards
• Adapting to various classrooms and serving as a positive role model
• Participating in training and professional development opportunities
• Performing other duties as needed to support program operations

What Were Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Experience supporting children with disabilities or special needs preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to complete Florida DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training within the first 90 days of employment
• Positive patient and nurturing approach when working with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible dependable and eager to learn
• Commitment to developmentally appropriate practices and Easterseals values
