Substitute Teacher InformationAll Resident Subs will earn $225 per dayDay-to-Day Substitute Teachers will earn $200 per dayoAfter 15 consecutive days for the same teacher the rate of pay will increase from $200 to $250 per day (starting on the 16th day)All fully credentialed substitute teachers will earn $250 per dayApplication Procedure:All applications must be submitted through EdJoin. Requirements:Please include with your completed employment application the following materials;Copy of your valid teaching credential or 30-Day Substitute Permit (if applicable)Copies of your transcripts posting your Bachelors degree or 90 semester units and current enrollment to complete your bachelors degree (official transcripts will be requested at time of hire).Basic Skills Requirement is fulfilled if Bachelors degree has been awardedoIf Bachelors degree has not been completed you must fulfill the Basic Skills Requirement (BSR) through one of the following options:oCopy of your passing CBEST cardoBSR met through courseworkoBSR met by coursework and exam oPass the CSET: Multiple Subjects plus Writing Skills ExaminationoPass the CSU Early Assessment Program or the CSU Placement ExaminationsoAchieve qualifying Score on the SAT or ACToCollege Board Advanced (AP) ExaminationsoPass a Basic Skills Examination from Another StateLetter of Interest Two recent letters of recommendation (within the last two years)Upon successful completion of the interview applicants will be given a conditional offer of employment to begin employment paperwork to include TB clearance and criminal background check. If successful and the applicant does not currently hold a valid credential or substitute permit we will assist you with the process of applying for the required document.
